Before the start of the 2016 Formula One season, Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya officials have announced they will be the sole hosts of the two pre-season tests scheduled.
The Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya is a motorsport race track in Montmeló, Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. With long straights and a variety of corners, the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya is seen as an all-rounder circuit.
The tests will be divided into two four-day sessions, the first will run from February 22-25 and the second from March 1-4.
They also announced that all 2016 Spanish Grand Prix ticket holders will be able to attend the eight days of testing for free.These dates have been brought forward following the alterations in the F1 calendar.
The changes have seen the season-opening Australian Grand Prix scheduled for March 20 instead of the more traditional April 3 slot. The tests were originally scheduled to run from March 1-4 and March 15-18, but the dates mentioned above have now been finalised
